Cannons Select Lacrosse
2019/2020 Season
In an effort to offer a quality select lacrosse experience within an affordable price structure and to offer team continuity throughout the year, Cannons Select Lacrosse offers an all-inclusive registration package for our graduation year based teams that includes our Fall / Winter / Spring / Summer seasons. Off-season instruction, practices, and game experience are essential in skill development of players and in building strong, competitive select level teams. Fall practices, Skill Sessions, scrimmages and tournaments, along with Winter League play, offer important off-season opportunities for our teams to play together.
To continue the success of our program, players accepting roster spots on our teams commit to our program and to their personal development by attending scheduled events. Understanding that some of our athletes play other fall and winter sports, we try to offer flexibility and sensitivity in our off-season scheduling to accommodate those players. We encourage dual sport athletes to communicate directly with our coaches to work out an agreeable plan to accommodate both sports.
Cannons teams are offered Skill Sessions throughout the fall months with a more structured practice schedule beginning in mid September to prepare for Fall Tournaments and/or events. For the Spring Season, teams will practice two or three times per week beginning in February through June. We feel commitment to our Cannons teams is essential for the development of our players and for the success of our program.
The Cannons Select Lacrosse Program attracts passionate and committed players from Calvert, Charles, St Mary’s, Anne Arundel, and Prince Georges Counties along with Northern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. The Cannons name has spread well beyond county lines as we reach out to play teams from other states and leave a Cannons impression! It is definitely a great time to be a Cannon!
