Cannons Select Lacrosse offers a comprehensive player package best-fit to develop lacrosse talent at each grade level. We build our teams using "Tryouts", starting each July in order to confirm team make-up and player committment. Our main lacrosse season coincides with NCAA schedule and runs from March - June. In the off-season (fall and winter) we provide high-quality instruction and tournaments to keep our players active and growing in the sport.
To continue the success of our program, players accepting roster spots on our teams commit to our program for the full year and commit to their personal development by attending scheduled events. Understanding that many of our athletes play other fall and winter sports, we offer flexible training opportunities to maximize full-team participation. We encourage multi-sport athletes to communicate directly with our coaches on schedule challenges and we require players be 100% committed to the sport of lacrosse during our main playing season (March-June).
Cannons teams are offered Skill Sessions and/or team events and tournaments throughout the fall. Winter opportunities are offered per player grade level and per player package. During our main Spring/Summer season, teams will practice multiple times throughout the week. Commitment to our Cannons teams is essential for the development of our players and for the success of our program.
The Cannons Select Lacrosse Program attracts passionate and committed players. The Cannons Select name has spread nation-wide thanks to the success of our talented players and teams that have gained national recognition at the US Club Lacrosse and NCAA lacrosse level. We draw players from various parts of Maryland, we play in national level tournaments, and we remain organizationally engaged with US Lacrosse, mid-Atlantic chapter! Our Cannons players stand-out, give back-to-the-game and their community, and inspire greatness through hard work and dedication to the sport. It is definitely a great time to be a Cannon!
