We hope you are having a great start to the 2019-20 lacrosse season. The boys are working hard at practices. In addition to lacrosse fundamentals, we are focusing on self discipline, mutual respect, and becoming one team instead of a group of individuals! Any reinforcement you can offer at home is appreciated.
As many of you know, the Cannons Bull and Oyster Roast is on Saturday, October 19 at Dunkirk Firehouse. This is the Cannons’ yearly FRIENDraiser and FUNDraiser. It is a time for the adults to gather together and share some adult fun and a time to raise funds for our Cannons organization that help supplement fees to continue to offer a quality program at a reasonable price. We hope you plan to attend and will help support this event!
There is a Silent Auction during the Bull Roast. Traditionally, each team creates a team gift basket as part of the auction. The 2024 team will be making a “Money Rake” - a lawn rake filled with scratch offs and lottery tickets. We will include a sign saying “Raking in the Money.” We are hoping that each family will pitch in to the team donation by contributing $10-$20 in scratch offs, lotter tickets, or cash for our Team Moms to buy the scratch off tickets and the rake. Angie Martin (Landon’s mom), Crissy Yost (Brandon’s mom) and Jennifer Jensen (Logan’s mom) will be collecting the money and/or tickets for this team project until October 11. We know our 2024 team will represent STRONG and we thank you in advance for your help in putting this together.
As always, we thank you for your trust and support. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to Coach Dave, Coach Mark or the Team Moms handling this gift.
